Unlike some other countries in Asia, South Korea isn’t really renowned for its high buildings. However, if you passed by the Lotte World area in #Seoul during this year, you may have noticed an unusually high construction going on. In fact, Korea launched a new project in 2011 leading to the construction of a 555 meter-high futuristic building, called ‘Lotte World Tower’. The building process is now well advanced, with more than 100 floors completed out of 123 and the building already dominates the skyline of Seoul. The construction is set to be finished in 2016, the ‘Lotte World Tower’ becoming one of the tallest buildings in the world! (probably the 6th)
This kind of project is always subject to debate, but it is always an impressive demonstration of technological prowess.
The Lotte World Tower will contain a lotte duty free, concert hall, luxury hotel, a three-story observation deck and rooftop garden.
